Today's Sailing NewsBT Challenge UpdateLeader: LG Flatron by 101 miles. Location: 31 South 49 West. Finish expected this week. Best 24 hour run: Logica 211 miles Current Conditions: SW Force 4 Forecast: Increasing to SW Force 6 or 7 with rain. Team Adventure: Mast UpIn Cherbourg France Team Adventures very large multi hull was launched. The catamaran touched the water at 1220. With light winds the boats 120 foot wing mast was then stepped. After rigging the boat and bending on the sails look for Team Adventure's maiden voyage on Wednesday or Thursday. The rest of the week in Cherbourg is expected to be rainy with max temperatures in the 40's. Today in Cherbourg the wind is under 10 knots from the WSW. Such gentle conditions will be ideal for Team Adventure's first sail. Weather forecasts do show an increase up to around 20 knots, so the first sail maybe delayed.
