Europe 1 Transat: More Class Winners
Pictured above are on the left the Class II monhull winner Emma Richards and the Class I monohull winner Ellen Macarthur on the right. At age 23 for Macarthur and 25 for Richards it's clear Britain is producing excellent young offshore sailors. Another young 'Brit' Alex Thomson (age 26) was 3rd in the Class 2 monohull's. Winning class 3 was French sailor Jean-Marie Arthaud. Class 4 was won by Belgain Ronny Nollet. Jim Otton's Spirit of the Great Lakes entry is around 600 miles from Newport. A finish on Thursday is projected. Muskegon: A 2 Lake CityOne of the absolute finest aspects of living in Muskegon is that it's a 2 lake city. You've got Lake Michigan, aka the 'big lake' and Muskegon Lake. Below find two photos from this morning visually sampling condtions and activities on the two lakes.
