Volvo Ocean Race Schedule

June 22 1999

 

Recently orgainzers have finalized the schedule for the 2001-2002 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race. The event was formerly known as the Whitbread.

New on the stopover roster are: Rio De Janeiro Brazil, Miami Florida, Gothenburg Sweden and Kiel Germany

The added European stops can be attributed to Volvo's presence.

There also has been a slight change to how the race is scored. Again a points system will be used. However, all legs will be scored equally.

See the table below for the start dates of each leg, and also the expected finish times.
