Welcome to our Sailing Records Page.  These pages are an attempt to present sailing speed records to a wider audience so that you can appreciate the adventurous sailors that have set these records over the years.

These pages deal with several types of records.  For instance under Ocean Passage Records are records on courses such as Newport to Bermuda, Chicago to Mackinac, Sydney to Hobart etc.  In general these ocean passages serve either as a leg of a race or an entire reae.  WSSRC Official Course Records are records set on courses delineated by the World Sailing Speed Record Council.  Official courses, range from crossing Thailand Gulf to sailing around the world.

All records here are unofficial, although many are taken from published sources, both written and digital.  Torresen Sailing Site welcomes any comments, suggestions, corrections, additions or questions you may have about these record listings.
